The Gaudeamus choir Brno

Gaudeamus is a mixed choir that has been part of the Czech choral music scene since 1996. It was the official choir of the Masaryk University in Brno between 1999 and 2003. Since then it has continued as a civic association.

Gaudeamus has been undoubtedly contributing to the advancement of Brno musical culture by giving concerts and appearing at benefit events annually. It has also been participating in choral festivals at home as well as abroad.

The repertoire of Gaudeamus includes a varied range of choral works composed by Czech and world composers from the Renaissance music up to the contemporary compositions.

Members of the choir are mainly students and graduates of Brno universities.
